Engagement sessions are a fantastic way to get to know a couple before the big day.  And they are just plain fun.  I met Kate a few years ago when she was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed, and when she called me to do her wedding, of course I couldn’t refuse!  I really enjoyed getting to know her fiance and the two of them as a couple, and their cute little dog!  And as always, I really enjoyed shooting in the gorgeous Mt. Adams.  Maybe some day I’ll live there….

This spring has been so all over the place. I’m really surprised I haven’t gotten sick yet! One day it’s 80 degrees, another it’s in the 40s! Unfortunately for Kyle and Emily, they got the latter.  But I think sometimes the cold weather is better – keeps the couple close and romantic  I truly enjoyed getting to know Kyle and Emily and shooting in my usual spot!  I love engagement pictures because the couples are just so in love – so much so, it was really hard to get Emily to NOT smile. That’s a good problem to have! I’m looking forward to their wedding this October!

What an absolutely beautiful day we had last Sunday for an engagement shoot!  Mike and Lauren drove down from Toledo to have their engagement photos done, and we really lucked out with a gorgeous Cincinnati day.  I love shooting downtown and finding all the random nooks and crannies to shoot in, and this time was no exception.   I also love engagement shoots because it gives me a chance to get to know a couple before the big day, and I just love the chemistry between these two!  I’m very much looking forward to Mike & Lauren’s Springfield wedding this coming June!
