Merry Christmas!

Well, it’s official, I’m done shooting until 2011!  It has been a spectacular year and I have again been blessed with amazing clients, both for weddings and portraits!  When I started my business back in 2005, I had no idea what I was getting myself into and if owning my own business was even possible.  Little did I know that the Lord would truly bless me not only in an amazing clientele but a wonderful family who supports me and encourages me.

I need to take a moment to thank my wonderful husband, Matthew, who has been so patient, so giving, and so supportive of Leah Robbins Photography.  I know it’s not always easy when we would rather just hang out or do something together on the weekend, but instead, I leave him with two kids under two to shoot my weddings.  My business (and my sanity!) would not survive without you! Your constant guidance and encouragement are not taken for granted.  I know you sacrifice things in order for me to pursue my dream, and for that I am so thankful. You are an amazing partner and I give the glory to God for bringing you into my life!

I also want to thank Seth and Emma for being patient with me while mommy is on the computer and needs to “send just this one email.”  I know you are probably thanking me for the “movie days” you receive when my workload is high, but you are two very gracious and patient children that allow me to get my work done.  I also thank you for being PHENOMENAL sleepers, because without good naps and early bed times, who knows when anything would be edited!

Thank you to both sets of parents – the Simpsons and the Robbins.  Again, another group of people that makes my business possible.  You are so giving of your time to watch my children as I go on many consultations, portrait shoots, etc.  I am so thankful that my children have their second “homes” to go to when they can’t be in their own home.  The time Seth and Emma get to spend with you is so precious and priceless!

And lastly, thank you to my clients – my business would literally not be in operation without you 🙂  Your countless sweet emails, encouraging words, referrals, laughs/smiles on shoots, etc are never taken for granted!  I am so blessed by all of you!

I can’t believe I’m finishing up my 5th year in operation.  Time flies when you are having fun! So, with that being said, I’m going to take a few days off for my Christmas “vacation.”  Yes, there are things pending on my to-do list to finish up, but I will tend to those next week.  I am going to spend the next few days, next few nap hours, etc to focus on time with just family.  I may even just put a movie or two on during nap time and not even touch the computer – that would definitely be a first!! I hope you all are ok with that! 🙂

I am very excited about 2011 and know it’s going to bring another year of fantastic shooting. I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!!

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
