ERIC + SARAH {married!} // Lawrenceburg, IN

The first time I got to meet Eric & Sarah face to face was on the wedding day.  That’s unusual for me because typically I’ve at least done a consult, if not engagement pictures, but seeing as they live in Kansas City, face to face time was difficult.  But that seriously didn’t matter with these two.  They have been together almost 13 years, so this day was pure joy for everyone involved.  Sarah was an incredible bride to work with – relaxed and ready to have fun!  And after Eric was finally able to see his bride, I never saw him stop smiling! The two didn’t see each other prior, so we did their pictures in two different locations.  You would have thought it was two different days.  The girls got cloudy skies and icy cold winds and the boys had warm sunshine with no wind.  Go figure.  The girls had to suffer the cold while the boys probably got a little hot in their suits.  Typical! 🙂  The wedding took place in Lawrenceburg, IN at Tanner Valley United Methodist Church and the reception was held at the Dearborn County Country Club.

Sorry there are so many photos, folks.  It’s hard to narrow down when I want to give you the whole scope of the day! Plus, if you actually see how much I really shoot at a wedding, you’ll see that this is just a FRACTION of the actual photos.  So I guess when you put it in that terms, I’m not that much of a nut.  Right? Right??

You can see more images in their slideshow HERE.

Big thanks to my friend, Sarah Brown, for helping me out this day!

I do a little dance of joy when I get to photograph a few reception details in an empty reception room with no guests.  {Insert little jig here}

Oh my, Sarah.  You are gorgeous.

I honestly had a hard time picking just THESE faves of her for the blog.  There were plenty more where these came from!

Those poor girls were freezing and such troopers.  Curse the boys for getting the sun in their fully covered suits!! 🙂

Helloooo, blue eyes!

Little man thought I was crazy.  He was probably right.  #notamused

But doesn’t he look dashing??

What happens when you kick the ushers out of the wedding party for a few pics? You get photo bombed 🙂

A little side story from the day:  See the guy on the far right of the photo, near the buildings?  He hung around us while we did pictures, sputtering words that we couldn’t understand, wearing chaps, and eating a dead plant.  You can’t make this stuff up.  Decided to leave him in the photo for the fun memory of the weirdness that it all was. 🙂

Seriously.  That wind was brutal. Let’s take advantage a little….

Some of the most fun I’ve seen in both the father/daughter and mother/son dances in awhile!

I think my fave part of doing this group photo when they all go crazy is in the edit.  In the moment, I don’t see everyone’s faces.  Then I get to pull it up on my computer and see the pure magic that happened with this crazy bunch of kids! 🙂 Feel free to study closely – I’m sure all the guests will appreciate that.  Definitely good for a smile!

It was finally Sarah’s turn to be “kited” by her sorority!

HUGE congrats to you, Sarah & Eric!! I wish you all the best!! Thanks for letting me hang out all day with you and shoot a few pics 🙂
