We’re outside!! // littleHIGHBURY headbands

Are you as excited as I am with this warmer weather??  Warm weather seems to create a ripple effect in this house.  The kids get outside to play = happier kids = happier mama = dirtier house = I don’t care cause the kids are happier!  See? It’s a win-win.  The moods are instantly better when we can get outside and blow the stink off, as my mom used to say.  So outside we go, on bikes, throwing balls, digging in dirt.  But this last time outside came with a special project which kept Emma from playing outside, but she enjoyed her time nonetheless in the warm evening sun.  I got these beautiful headbands for the girls from an Etsy shop called little HIGHBURY, and agreed to take some photos of my girls wearing them for the shop.  So Ellie was my first subject, sporting her cute new headbands, then came Emma’s turn.  Oh, and you know how this girl likes the camera.  I seriously have to stop these styled shoots with her because she enjoys them a little too much.  But oh the things she talks about while I’m shooting.  That girl just makes me laugh and smile.  Our little conversations about bugs or boogers will really make me miss this age.  She shows me her ballerina moves while simultaneously talking about boogers.  You just never know where the conversation will go.

Once I got what I needed from her, I turned the camera to Seth, who was practicing throwing his baseball with dad for his upcoming tee-ball season.  I need to find out how the school photographer got such a sweet and genuine smile out of him for his school picture, because I sure can’t.  But that’s Seth, his goofiness and all.  Love that boy.

But seriously, go check out littleHIGHBURY‘s headbands – she has some absolutely adorable prints!!

I actually love the out-of-focus one on the right because it’s out-of-focus. 🙂

Luke made a quick cameo for the camera, although he didn’t make much screen time because his nose was way too snotty.  I was too lazy to get a tissue at the time, so no pictures of the boy.  I’m a good mom.
