LAUREN + ADAM {married!!}

I am sooo happy to finally be sharing this wedding with the world.  For those of you who are wedding photographers, I have one piece of advice: do not move in the summer.  Sheesh! Not that I had any control over that, but I had no idea how much a move could interrupt my flow!  So I’m posting this wedding much later than I wanted to, but through numerous texts ensuring Lauren that I am working on her pictures, I have received nothing but gracious replies.  And frankly, that doesn’t surprise me.  Lauren and Adam’s wedding was, for a lack of better term, all things regal.  It was so elegant, so beautiful, and to add to that, a beautiful couple.  They have to be one of the sweetest couples I have ever met and it was such a joy to be with them on their wedding day.  And one of my favorite parts of this wedding is the history I have with Adam and his family.  I photographed his sister’s wedding, as well as his cousin’s, and I get happy every time I’m around this family.  🙂  There are lots of cousins, and they all seem incredibly close.  Every time I’m around them, it allows me to look forward to the day when my kids and all their hordes of cousins are older, and there will be this close knit group of friends within their own family.  It is truly special to see.

L+A were married at Hyde Park United Methodist, a favorite of mine to photograph.  The reception was at the Cincinnati Art Museum.  Wow, the inspiration to photograph there is almost too overwhelming.  I feel like I need to go back at least a few more times to feel like I can really start to do it justice!  Lauren was like a work of art herself in that dress, so they blended perfectly with the museum.

I have to give a big shout out to Emily Price, who assisted me while 9 months pregnant.  I knew she wouldn’t miss this wedding because she was the photog that was there when they got engaged.  Girl, you rocked this wedding! Thank you!

When the bride & groom get ready in the same hotel, we try to split up and get both getting ready.  My assistant and I also time-sync our cameras so that they whole day flows nicely.  As I was going through the next set of pictures while editing, I noticed that both Lauren & Adam were doing the same things at the exact same time, one I was photographing, the other Emily.  I found it completely adorable.  These pictures were taken at the same time.
