the jakus family

Yes, photo shoots can happen in January. Recommended? Not really.  I think the Jakus’ will confirm just how cold it actually was.  But I think the cold brought out their silly side, because I got a lot of laughs during this shoot.  I think we just laughed how ridiculous it was that we were all hanging out in 20 degree weather.  Cold weather or not, I was not going to miss the opportunity to photograph this family! They are near and dear to my heart – formally our Bible Study leaders, John & Sara moved to Eastern Europe with AIA to do missions work with a basketball team.  Their heart for the Lord is inspiring and I was so honored to the opportunity to photograph them while they were in town for a short trip.  What a lucky group of people the Macedonians are to have them in their lives! I’m so jealous!! Anyways, here are just a few faves of this sweet family….

Years of marriage and two kids later….Yeah, they still got it… 🙂
