New website is now live!

Yes! The new site is finally up and running!!  Why the new site, do you ask?  Well, for starters, I got really behind in updating it with recent work.  None of my 2009 or 2010 jobs were on the site and thought they deserved a spot on the web!  So I thought it would be best to just start fresh, to go along with my new look.  But most importantly, and the biggest reason I wanted to update was being a flash-based site, it was kind of hard (ok, impossible) to access on your iPhone!  So, now I have a mobile site!  Try it out – access my website from your mobile device, and voila!  A condensed, easy to use/view version of my website! Pretty cool, huh? Ok, well I think so!

A few new things with this site…for starters, I’ve added a few additional FAQs – things like why I have no calendar, what a birth session is, etc.  So go check that out if you have questions about any of that.  (And as always, if your question is not answered on that page, please email me!! I’d be happy to assist 🙂 ) Secondly, I’ve added a birth story gallery under the portraits section of the website.  What you see in that gallery is just one birth that I’ve shot (I’ve shot many  – I just like the idea of seeing the whole story unfold for one particular birth so you can understand what it is).  Don’t worry, no disclaimers need to be made – there’s nothing inappropriate about it!  I’ve been shooting births for a few years now, and with each one, I always think, “Gee, I wish I could do this more and that EVERYONE who had a baby had this done!” So, now I’m letting you know it’s out there.  It may be something you have never considered before, but I ask you to highly consider it if you are having babies or plan to have babies.  It’s such a wonderful moment that you don’t want to ever forget! (Yes, you want to forget the labor – I believe that – but seeing your baby for the first time?  Holding him/her for the first time?  First time he/she is weighed, gets a bath, etc. – those are precious moments!) So I’m going to be plugging that big time.
