The fun things about weddings are seeing all the little details that each couple put into it to make it their own. I get excited about the small things – like tails on the guys’ coats, or pocket watches, or brightly colored bridesmaid dresses, etc. So yeah, I got excited at this wedding. Nicole and Duncan had such a beautiful day at the Manor House for their wedding. They were so extremely happy all day – it was hard for me to get them to do a “serious” pose. 🙂
Duncan is from the UK, and it was very fun to see the influence that had on the wedding as well. First off, half the guests had amazing accents. Secondly, a tradition I hope comes to the USA, many of the women wore hats or headpieces that were just gorgeous! I totally wanted to swipe a few off their heads to keep for my own. And third, it says a lot about this couple the number of guests that flew across the ocean to be here at this wedding. What an amazing testimony to the love that these two have for each other, and for their family!
The reception was amazingly fun – people danced all night. The bride and groom danced all night. It was just a joy to be a part of! It was almost hard to know when to stop 🙂
Duncan and Nicole – thank you so much for including me in on your spectacular day. I wish you the best as you start your new life together! And big thanks to Emily Price for helping me out this day!
My new wedding props – LOVE!
The floodgates opened for Nicole as she walked down the aisle. It was so sweet!
Similar to the US’s toasts, the British give “speeches.” Needless to say, all 3 (groom, father of the bride, best man) were spectacular and hilarious – can’t you tell?
