I managed to find a quick break in the midst of my busy season to hop down to Nashville for a much needed, overdue trip. Going to school in Knoxville, I had many many friends from the Nashville area and was able to visit with a handful of old roommates on my short, 2.5 day trip. It was such a wonderful time of reminiscing and reuniting with these girls and their babies! What I love about all these friends is that it felt like no time had passed since I had last seen them. That’s a sign of a good friend.
There was one friend in particular I was super excited to see. Well, actually, she was the reason for the timing of this trip. One of my best friends from college, Nikki, and her husband Brandon, are missionaries in the Dominican Republic. They came home for a short stint to have their baby, who was born just 2 weeks ago (well, it was 2 weeks at the time I met her). I wanted to make sure I got down to Nashville to meet miss Avery Sophia while she was stateside, and I even had the privilege of stay with Nikki and Brandon while I visited. You put me in a house with a newborn, and you are bound to have a few pictures taken. So, we did a little impromptu, 10 min photo shoot of this sweet darling. While I was there, she was such a good baby – sweet disposition, not fussy at all, and slept a lot. Nikki and Brandon have it made! Not to mention, she already has a head of beautiful hair, perfect for little bows! I am so thankful I was able to make it down to see them before they head back to the D.R.!!
The toosh says it all….
I think she looks like her papa, with her mama’s lips. You be the judge….
Are you seriously surprised she’s gorgeous? Look at her parents!
A foot shot? Seriously? From me? I’m SHOCKED! 🙂
Seriously, check out those lips!! I’m jealous.
