JAMES + RACHEL {married}

I am so happy to post this wedding! This couple was so sweet and tenderhearted and so in love.  I think James and Rachel’s “first look” was the best I have ever seen.  They had Gungor’s “Beautiful Things” playing on the speaker as she walked down the aisle to him, as they then proceeded to have such a tender moment together of crying and praying.  I left them alone after I took about 50 pictures of this moment (didn’t take long to get those though).  It was very well done.  As we started portraits in the sanctuary of the church, we decided to leave the music playing.  What a beautiful soundtrack for the day of their wedding! (Of course, that song made it into their slideshow).

The day was hot, so we tried to do plenty inside to give the wedding party relief from the heat.  The reception took place at the Glendale Lyceum, which has become a personal favorite of mine.  It’s such a beautiful room! The couple decided to have dinner stations as opposed to a regular buffet or sit-down dinner, which was very unique, and very tasty, I might add.  They even had a potato bar with mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes!  My favorite 🙂

Everything about this wedding was just stunning.  Rachel looked fabulous in her dress that fit her perfectly.  But the most special part about her was that she was wearing her mother’s veil!  What a cherished memory that will be! And it was so in style – classic vintage.  Love it.   James and Rachel, I am so happy for the two of you and am so excited for your marriage to one another! I know the Lord will truly bless you as you begin your new life together! Thanks for letting me share in your day!!

Big thanks to Emily Price for her help on this wedding.  Your work was beautiful, as always!
