You may have noticed my little hiatus from posting weddings. Well, that’s cause I had a little bit of break before my final two weddings of the year. The weekend before Thanksgiving, I shot Joe & Diana’s beautiful Xavier U. wedding, and in a couple weeks, I’ll be wrapping up the year with one final wedding. We were extremely blessed to have the weather we did on November 19. Slightly overcast skies (no rain!!) and mild temperatures. Ok, so the bridesmaids were a little chilly, but it could have been much much worse. I’m so thankful Diana picked such a bright color for her girls – I think it really made everything just pop! Diana is from Trinidad, so her Trinidad friends and family probably had a bit of a shock with the weather, but that certainly didn’t stop them from having a good time! The ceremony was at the Bellarmine Chapel on Xavier’s campus and the reception was downtown at the Millenium. Diana’s reaction to seeing Joe was one of my highlights from the day, then the party really rounded it out. They had an amazing band, Cover Model, who sounded like I was listening to the actual track they were playing. I had to look a couple times to make sure they were still playing and didn’t just turn on a CD! Great job, guys, seriously.
The reception took on some of Diana’s cultural influences, including a dance called “Brown Girl in the Ring” which was fun to witness. They also played a mixture of Caribbean-esque music that really fit the mood of the wedding. All in all, this was a fantastic wedding and so much fun to photograph!! Big thanks to Emily for helping me out again!

This was actually one of the girls’ idea. I thought it was too cute! I love firsts for me 🙂
