That’s right! We got to find out early what we were having! My doctor was kind enough to do a quick gender ultrasound for me at my last checkup, where Matthew and I found out that we are having another baby boy! I still have my normal 20 week ultrasound coming up in just over a week where we’ll see if everything is developing properly and get some good pictures of our son, but I was so thrilled to find out what we’re having! Funny enough, my motherly instinct was wrong – my pregnancy symptoms have been just like Emma’s, so I thought we were having a girl, but I was way wrong. 🙂 I am so excited that Emma is sandwiched between two brothers to watch after her, protect her, etc. Plus, think of the money I’ll save on clothes! Whew! 🙂 Names are yet to be determined, although we have a few on the list. We may just be waiting until the birth to know what this little bambino will be called. Seth is excited about his baby brother and can’t wait to teach him his ABC’s (or so he says). 🙂
18 weeks!
How far along? 18 weeks.
Size of the baby: A mango. 6 in, .5lbs
Maternity clothes? Oh yeah. Love my maternity leggings!
Best moment this week: Finding out we’re having a boy and seeing my son suck his thumb on the ultrasound!
Miss Anything? Sleeping on my belly (already….uh oh….)
Movement: Yes! I feel little flutters and kicks here and there, but not a ton. The placement of the placenta is creating a nice cushion between me and baby, restricting how much movement I feel.
Food cravings: Fruit! But really, it’s more that I get a certain food in mind, then crave it until I can have it, so that really goes for ALL food 🙂
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Have you started to show yet: Oh yeah. Probably too much at this point!
Gender: BOY!!
Labor Signs: Thank goodness no.
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Elated.
Looking forward to: Seeing our son on his next ultrasound and getting some good pics of him (shocker!). I wonder if he’ll have Matthew’s nose (we saw that Seth did on his 20 week u/s).
