Todd and Kate had an absolutely beautiful day to get married. The rain threatened for a bit, but it stayed away, and we had gorgeous weather for pictures! Kate was absolutely gorgeous in her gown and had twelve beautiful bridesmaids dressed in their own black dresses (genius!!). The wedding was held at St. Xavier with the reception at the Hall of Mirrors. Both are stunning locations and fit Kate and Todd wonderfully. This day was extra unique for me as a photographer. The couple wanted their wedding party to just have fun and enjoy their day, so we spent less time on pictures, and sent the wedding party off to a bar to relax and have a few drinks. I’ve never seen that before, and I really think the wedding party appreciated it! Kate was insistent that every have a good time, and she just wanted to enjoy the love of her life that day. It was really sweet to see.
Thank you, Todd & Kate, for choosing me to document your day!!

Big thanks to Emily Price for shooting with me and Brigid from I-Do Weddings for coordinating the whole day!!
For those of you who ever wonder if you should see each other beforehand, you need to take a look at Kate & Todd’s first look. There are plenty more from this moment (I only selected a few), but a moment like this cannot be captured during the ceremony. It was a joy to witness!
Kate carried a picture of her mother, who passed away when she was young, on her bouquet. So special.
Todd is the manager at a local restaurant, so the couple brought along the fork and spoon for a re-creation of American Gothic. Love it! 🙂
I love how Todd is looking at the ring on his finger. Grooms are always thrown off by the new thing on their hands! 🙂
