I don’t normally take on 4th of July weekend weddings, but for Jason, I of course made an exception. I’ve known Jason for, well, not sure how long. Our families go way back and he has been good friends with my brother for ages. I was so incredibly excited when Jason & Jacque asked me to photograph their simple (yet spectacular) affair down in Dandridge, TN. I had a chance to stalk Jacque (sort of kidding there) through her Facebook and Pinterest page prior to the wedding and just knew we’d be a great fit. I was all about her style and flair. And of course, the wedding was yellow and gray. I think we were definitely a perfect match. I am so incredibly excited to see Jason so in love, and to a woman who adores him with her whole heart and life. I had a really hard time getting photographs of the two of them NOT kissing! They had natural romance in front of the camera that just had sparks – you can’t direct that kind of feeling! Their wedding was small and quaint, with many hand-made details. Rain threatened us the whole day, but thankfully we survived with only a few sprinkles that actually left us with cooler temps and less humidity. We really couldn’t have asked for better weather for an outdoor reception! The reception was simple with dinner, a few toasts, and lots of mingling. Totally the way to do a wedding. Oh, and did I mention how amazing and God-honoring the ceremony was? Sheesh, it was so beautiful!! Enough to make a girl (not just a pregnant girl like myself) cry! They even had a foot-washing portion, displaying the amazing servanthood of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Huge congrats to you, Jason & Jacque!! I think I can speak for the whole Simpson fam when I say we are excited for you!
