Two newborns in two days! My head is going to explode from cuteness!! My cousin, Lori, just gave birth to her first son, sweet little Tyler. And oh my, is he a cute one. Since having kids, I have affectionately referred to Lori as first-cousin-once-removed-Lori, because that’s what she is. That’s right. I understand the family dynamics. No, she is not the 2nd cousin to my kids – Tyler is. If you have any questions on generations of cousins and how they are related, I’ve got it all down because my dad is an expert at this kind of knowledge. Anyways, I say all that because now I finally AM a first-cousin-once-removed! So that will be the name I require Tyler to call me. Just kidding, Ty. Anywho, this was my first time meeting the little guy and getting to see Lori and Ed in action as parents! Unfortunately for picture sake, Tyler was really only content during the shoot if he had his pacifier in his mouth. I say for picture sake because, in my opinion, having a pacifier baby is glorious! My first two loved the pacifier and no matter what mood they were in, they could be satisfied with that. Luke, on the other hand, was a thumb sucker, so unless he decided he wanted to soothe himself, there was nothing I could do. So yay, Tyler, for taking the pacifier!! Just not while I’m there to take pics, ok? 🙂 We were able to get most without a pacifier, but I decided to let the little guy keep it for some because a) he would remain calm and b) they are still really cute with that huge thing in their mouths. A couple months from now, Lori and Ed will be able to look back and see how tiny his head was compared to that binky and see how much he’s grown!
My Aunt Judy (Lori’s mom) made this adorable Hungry Caterpillar quilt for Tyler. So cute!
Lori’s friend made this little caterpillar outfit for him! Such crafty people in this boy’s life….
Yet another gorgeous blanket, courtesy of Ed’s mom. This boy sure will not be lacking in awesome homemade goodies….
Congratulations, Lori and Ed!! Now you get to add to the chaos of our holiday family gatherings:)
