RYAN + LEAH {married!}

I’m back at it, folks! After a 2.5 month hiatus from weddings, I am back, baby!!  And it couldn’t feel better.  Well, maybe a little better, since I’m now shooting with a rather large mass in front of me weighing me down (I’m referring to the ever-growing baby belly).  I started the third trimester yesterday, with a few more weddings left this fall.  I can do this!!

Anyways, enough about me, can we talk about the gorgeousness that is Leah and Ryan’s wedding day??  The rain forecast was showing a 70% chance of rain all day, and the Lord continues to bless the weddings I shoot and spare us from the rain.  Not only did we get spared of rain, but the skies were blue and the sun was bright and shinin’! It was a perfect day!  Leah is a former coworker of Matthew’s, so I’ve known her for about 5 years now and it was a true pleasure to photograph her.  It was different seeing her outside of her ‘professional’ role and into her more natural self.  She looked A-MAZING.  Emily and I could not stop photographing her.  Good thing for her that we were on a strict timeline or I’d still be photographing her.  We took the wedding party down to my favorite spot in Covington to get some skyline shots.  Sometimes you have to deal with lighting as is for the background.  My apologies to the wedding party for having to stare directly into the sun.  I hope you found it worth it!  The ceremony took place at St. Frances de Sales with the reception at the Freedom Center.  It was my first time at the Freedom Center, and the cocktail hour location alone would make that place worth it!  Of course, the space is great as well, but seriously – check out the view for the cocktail hour!  What a great day to spend with such a great couple.

Huge thanks to Emily Price for toughing it out with me with HER growing baby belly 🙂  We are quite a team!!

Check out their slideshow HERE.

Don’t ever underestimate the first look from the dad…

Leah’s dress was custom made for her.  Can’t you tell??

Cutest kids ever! And that flower girl dress – where can I get one for Emma??

People want to speak negatively about seeing each other before the ceremony because it ruins that walk down the aisle.  Look at Leah’s face – think that moment is ruined?? Nothing can replace walking down the aisle to meet your groom to be MARRIED, whether you’ve seen him or not!

Leah had her whole reception gather around and dance with her and her grandfather to the chicken dance.  Moments to cherish forever.

Thank you so much, Leah + Ryan, for allowing me to be a part of your spectacular day!! I wish you all the best in your new life together!!
