Ack!! It’s a wedding post – can you believe it?? I’m so excited to share this absolutely gorgeous and flawless wedding!! Man, editing is very different with a new babe at home. You think I’d be used to this seeing as this is my 4th time around, but I guess that’s the challenge – there are FOUR of them now. Four little people, all needing something different at the same time. My life in a nut shell. But I love my little nut shell and I’d happily choose editing with my little distractions over having ample time on the computer. Even as I type this, little Ellie is fussing on my lap. Sorry, babe, momma’s gotta blog….
Ok, back to what you came here for. Bill & Karah have been together for 6 years, but have also known each other for much longer than that. They grew up together at the same church, my church. Yes, that’s right, I’ve known them a long time as well!! Karah and I even went to elementary school together back in the day. Good times. Anyways, their gorgeous wedding and reception took place at Pinecroft Mansion at Crosley Estate. Wow. That place is so incredibly beautiful and inspirational, it’s almost overwhelming. And they were seriously blessed to have a gorgeous day for an outdoor ceremony, especially for it being April, and especially since it monsooned the two whole days prior to the wedding. The ceremony was moved out of the orchard due to mud, but other than that, everything else stayed the same!
Have you ever seen a wedding without a single flower in it? I haven’t. Until now. That’s right, all of Karah’s details were put together without using a florist!! She carried a gorgeous broach bouquet, her girls carried similarly themed bouquets, and all other would-be-flower-arrangements were done with gorgeous fabric flower creations, painted wine bottles, and handmade boutonnieres (side note – I think I will always need spell check to spell that word. I’ll never get it right). Anyways, the details and purple accents were all just too fun, and then to top it off, I got a super fun and goofy couple. Bill really knows how to make Karah laugh. So much laughing took place on this day, and also quite a bit of crying. That just makes for a perfect wedding day in my opinion – you definitely need both. Anyways, there’s more I will say about this wedding, but I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking….
Check out their slideshow HERE.
P.S. HUGE thanks to Emily Price for rockin’ out another great wedding with me! This was the first wedding back for both of us after having our babes. We left our husbands to survive bond at home with the kids while we finally got a day out! 🙂
Bill made the ring box on the left. Stellar.
It’s not everyday you see a bride doing the bridesmaid’s hair. And she did her own hair too!
Bill’s letter to Karah – see, he’s a genius at making her laugh and cry.
At Pinecroft, the couple will write a letter to each other, then the letters get rolled up and corked inside a wine bottle to be stored there. How cool is that?
Mmmm….birdcage veils…..yes, please!
Never underestimate a father’s first look too!!
Oh, Bill….
Lots of laughter. Lots of fun.
Check out these boutonnieres… The married guys had “I Did” written on them 🙂
Both of Bill’s parents passed away over 10 years ago. In their memory, family members carried these items down the aisle when the parents would have walked down. Very sweet.
I love how they both stopped to smile and look at mom here…
The problem with red lipstick… 🙂
Check out those ringbearers! Don’t you just want to eat them up?
Great toasts always involve a good laugh….
…and a good cry…
Karah’s dad was the CEO of Stihl, hence the chainsaw…. Definitely a first for me!
Everyone needs a selfie with the bride!
They had a caricature artist there – how cool is that??
Thank you, Bill and Karah, for letting me take part in your beautiful day!! So happy for you guys!!
These photos would not be possible without the fabulous help of these creative people….
