Oh sweet baby boy. This precious bundle is just one more baby to confirm that Jessica and Akiya make beautiful babies!! That hair. Those cheeks. Those big beautiful eyes. It’s enough to make anyone swoon. And even though he was fussy for most of the session (I take responsibility for that – made him strip while he was sound asleep), I still wanted to take him home. Ugh, babies. I seriously can’t get enough of them! Maybe that’s why I have four….

I digress. I still enjoy the newborn shoots where the baby isn’t cooperating fully. Are we able to do many of the sweet newborn poses and such? No, but what we’re able to get is real life happening. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s beautiful. When we couldn’t get Jet to stop crying, he was handed off to his daddy who was able to calm him by swinging him around. Other times, he was nursed by his mother, and what resulted was beautiful, natural, and nurturing (I loved those photos, but for privacy, they are not pictured here). It was a sweet and real session and shows the unconditional love this little boy will come to know more and more.

When grandma is in the house, you better believe she’s going to be included in a picture or two!
