Every once in awhile, a wedding comes along that is so different from the rest. Of course, every wedding is different, bringing the personality of the couple to the table, but this one in particular was a different kind of setup. Nadya & Brian had a very small affair, with 50 guests, and two witnesses as a wedding party. This small, intimate wedding fit Nadya and Brian’s personality, and it was just a beautiful thing to witness. I met the couple for the first time on their wedding day, and instantly clicked with them because they are some of the sweetest, most easy-going people ever. They are both avid rock climbers and that’s how they met. Their wedding took place at St. Clare Chapel with a dinner reception at 21c Hotel. Between the wedding and reception, I rode around in the limo with the couple along with the maid-of-honor, best man, and a few other family and friends, to go take some pictures. We hit up Ault Park, but because it was wedding central that day, we were very restricted on where we could go shoot. The overcast and cold weather did not stop us from having a great time, and I just loved watching these two together.
Check out their SLIDESHOW here!
Nadya looked absolutely gorgeous, wearing more make up than she’s used to, but she could have fooled me!! It looked perfect on her.
No wedding is complete without a selfie.
I love when I have my camera pointed at the groom and can tell when those doors open, revealing his bride.
Grandma and her iPad – she was all over the place with that thing. Love it.
Umm, I love the willow pictures. I had a hard time narrowing these down. Although the wind made this shot a bit challenging. Sorry, Brian 🙂
Aren’t they just precious?
So what do you do when your trusty light for night shots goes out after a couple shots? Enlist the help of some guys with cell phones….
Even though this is different than what I was going for, I was happy with the results. Really gives it an old-time, classic feel….
Congrats, Brian and Nadya!! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day!!
