Ooo, I’ve been so anxious to share this beautiful wedding!! Allison & Roberto were married on December 21, so between Christmas and a family vacation, I’ve had to put off being able to put this up online! You know when a beautiful (inside and out) friend asks you to photograph her wedding, you don’t turn that down. This wedding was uber special because Allison has been a friend of mine for over a year here in Louisville (not just a friend, but small group friend, meaning we’ve been praying for each other, encouraging one another, and spending a few nights together each month) and was marrying Roberto, a gentleman she has known for awhile but had specifically caught her eye just the past August. When Allison came to us saying that she had met someone and was already falling for him, we knew this had to be legit. Lo and behold, a couple months later, they were engaged, and a couple months after that, MARRIED. Seriously. Their relationship started in August. They were married in December. What a sweet journey it was to witness these two find each other and fall in love.
Allison & Roberto’s wedding took place on the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary’s campus, where Roberto is a student. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this wedding ceremony was. It was a worship service, completely honoring to God in all aspects. They chose to see each other prior to the ceremony, and due to circumstances in the day, our time for pictures was cut in half. Looking back, I’m thankful it was limited because I could not imagine how much more I would have shot had a I had ample time with these two – I already shot more than we needed! I was ready to call it quits after their first look alone because of how many great pics they gave me just during that moment! Sheesh!! They were not lacking for affection for one another! (Hint to future couples: that’s a GOOD thing when it comes to pictures.) The weather could not have cooperated more for us. Yes, it was cold, but at least the sun was shining. The girls looked gorgeous in their gold dresses, a festive yet elegant color for a Christmas wedding.
I just love all the emotion in this wedding. So much joy. So much love. I could shoot this day over and over again….
