Those Morris’ sure know how to throw a party. Just last year, I photographed Nicole & Adam’s wedding, Kacie’s sister. Now, just a few months later, it was Kacie’s turn! I love repeat families because I really feel like I get to know the family so much better, and it almost makes me feel like a guest at wedding, not just the photographer, because I’m familiar with so many people! While Nicole got married in Ohio, Kacie got married in Louisville. What a strange turn of events that the family is from the Cincinnati area, where I’m from, yet Kacie’s wedding was where I was currently living. Who knew it’d be that convenient?! Shortly after K&K’s wedding, we moved back to Ohio, so they got married just in time! 🙂 Unfortunately for them though, the move prevented me from posting this when I would have wanted to. But if there was going to be any bride that I was “late” for, it’s Kacie. From the beginning, through the wedding day, and even now, she has been one of the sweetest, most laid-back brides I have ever had!! They have been very gracious to me knowing my current situation is pretty chaotic!
Kent & Kacie were married at the Gillespie in downtown Louisville. It’s an old bank, so of course we had to hit up the bank vault for a pic or two. And when two Cardinal fans get married, there’s only one photo spot in Louisville that is a must: the KFC Yum! Center. Their wedding party was a lot of fun and even included a four-legged ring bearer. 🙂 And then the reception….oh man, the reception. I’ve never seen anything like it!! That had to be the craziest dance floor I have ever seen, from start to finish. It never stopped!! Kent and Kacie were determined to make sure their guests had a great time, and I think they succeeded!!
I had two partners in crime for this wedding. Emily Price drove her 8 month preggo self down from Cincy to help me for the day!! So thankful she didn’t go into labor and that she’s a good enough friend to make the trip! Then I sent her packin’ and Tamela Tripplett rocked out the rest of the night with me. THANK YOU, ladies, for all your awesome work!!
