HELWIG {family}

Prepare to be bombarded with a pretty family.  I really don’t think they get more beautiful than this!  Rachel is Seth’s tutor for CC, so of course I was honored to photograph her family when she asked me.  They have four stunning kids, and what I absolutely loved about this shoot was how much fun everyone was having.  Four kids is a lot of kids (trust me, I know).  And when there is any child in the family that is 3 years old, you know you are in for a good and crazy time.  Big families are tough to photograph, I’m not going to lie.  Shoot, I’m stressed even photographing my own kids!  Trying to get everyone to cooperate at the same time takes nothing short of a miracle.  But that’s also the beauty of it.  I LOVE the chaos of the big families.  I love the imperfection and the realness.  That’s what this shoot had – so much beauty and imperfection, which I think made it just about perfect.  What I also love about having lots of kids in the shoot is there are lots of heads to fill the spaces.  What a blessing it is to see all these sweet faces and just really fill the frame with all these beautiful little people.  We had a gorgeous day, albeit extremely windy, as evidenced by the girls’ hair!  And that little Silas. Oh, don’t you just want to eat him up??
