Justin, my old friend, and his beautiful wife, Maggie just had their first daughter. They live all the way out in California, so I had to celebrate with them through the world of Facebook and Instagram. But thankfully, Justin’s parents live in Cincinnati, which means they get to come cross-country, and on their cross-country tour, stopped for some pictures with me. I’m honored that in their short time here, they were willing to take a break and let me do some pictures for them and their beautiful baby girl, Cora. Being about 8 weeks old at the shoot meant she was long past the sleepy newborn stage, but still too young for sitting up, good head control or other older-baby qualities, so we were working with this in-between phase of babyness. She wasn’t a very happy camper to start, but Justin, the baby-whisperer, put her to sleep for us. One thing was certain though – Maggie and Justin were in love. Seriously. Normally first time parents have a sleepy, what-just-happened-to-us kind of look in their eyes (combined of course with the I-never-knew-I-could-love-someone-like-this look). I know I did when we had Seth. But Justin and Maggie were so enamored with Cora and were even willing to put her on the dirty porch for a couple pictures. Are you sure you’re not first-time parents?? 🙂 Thank you, guys, for being awesome and willing to put up with my antics, as well as giving me the privilege of photographing your precious growing family!!
