STEPHEN + ALICIA {married!}

Good gracious I’ve been excited to post this wedding.  I don’t think I can put into words how awesome this wedding was.  Between the amazing location, the fantastic details, and the easiest, happiest couple ever, it was all in all pretty much perfect.  And you know what the kicker was? It rained, no, it POURED right as the outdoor ceremony was about to begin, and lasted well into the reception.  But I never once, NOT ONCE, heard or saw Alicia complain about the rain.  She was pure joy, even as she and Stephen walked through the mud to do pictures, dragging her dress along the ground.  They were truly there to become husband and wife and that’s all that mattered.  When you are able to focus on your wedding day in that light, nothing can throw you off, not even a little (or a lot) of rain.  They probably didn’t dream of rain when they pictured their dream wedding, but I can guarantee you they pictured being married at the end of it, and that’s what they got.  I seriously was floored with how gracious and kind they were as Emily and I improvised to find places under cover where we could take pictures.  I even need to give a shout out to the guests.  We did all the family photos and wedding party photos in the doorway of the barn, where the cocktail hour was going on, which meant everyone needed to stay off to the sides and not go behind the group photos.  That’s no small thing and I appreciate the guests accommodating all of us!

Alicia & Stephen got married near Troy, OH at a place called Canyon Run Ranch.  It’s just someone’s home, with an amazing barn that they have turned into a reception venue.  How cool is that?  As I drove down their long driveway, I noticed a patch of woods with gorgeous orange leaves and knew instantly that would be a place we would photograph in.  I was able to get the girls to trek down the lane to that very spot and am so glad we did!  However, apparently we were trespassing the neighbor’s property so we got run off of it, but only after we were able to get some amazing pictures.  So when it was time to have Stephen and Alicia do their pictures, I had to do them a bit different for fear of getting yelled at (or shot) by the neighbors.  🙂

A huge thank you to Emily Price for rockin’ out this wedding with me!  She was not only a great second shooter, but she was a rockstar in assisting the bride in many things, between umbrellas, the bustle, etc.  I needed your extra hands this wedding and you came through – so thank you!!

I apologize now for the massive amount of photos.  This wedding was just too cool, too unique, and too beautiful to not go overboard.  I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me 🙂

The night ended with a Cincinnati Chili bar.  Yummo!!
