Ok, so my photo year started off on the right foot. My first wedding of the year was Thomas & Brooke’s, a spectacular event on many levels. First off, look at them. No words are needed to describe how ridiculously good-looking they are. Secondly, they were married at the Marmalade Lily, a gorgeous new venue in the Maineville/Loveland area. This flower farm is an amazing place to host your wedding and event, and everything wasn’t even in bloom yet! I can only imagine how much greater it will be once everything has sprung! But the lack of flowers or leaves did not take away from the beauty of this wedding. Although it was a little cold (alright, a lot cold), the wedding party really hung in there and pulled through. The gorgeous flowers (done by the Marmalade Lily), the lovely purple shades, and the blush wedding gown all complimented so nicely to fit Brooke’s wild-flower, care free theme. It was just perfection. It was such a joy photographing Brooke and Thomas because they just photographed so well. We were limited on time, yet somehow I cranked out thousands of pictures in a short time. I could blame it on my trigger finger, but I think it was more that I just couldn’t stop capturing what was happening between the couple on their wedding day. They were just so in love and it was so evident. They have a 2 year old daughter, and even though for much of the day she was taking a break from the camera, she was able to pull out some great shots that I hope will be a fun memory for her and her parents for years to come.
Thank you, Brooke and Thomas, for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day! And thank you to Laura Leppert for helping me out for the first part of the day!! You’re amazing!
Brooke photographed perfectly. She looked like perfection too.
It was the wind vs. the veil during the ceremony. The wind won.
The couple performed a tree planting ceremony at the reception, a tradition unique and special to Brooke’s family.
All the lovely vendors who made this day possible….
