MIKE + ANNA {married!}

So yeah, this wedding.  What can I say about this wedding?  First off, it was on June 4th, the same day Matthew and I were united as husband and wife just eleven years ago.  But do I talk about that? Or that Anna is probably one of the happiest, most joyful brides I’ve ever photographed?  Or that the ceremony was one of worship and honor to our Lord and Savior? Anna is a friend from our church while we were living in Louisville, where she also met Mike, a professor of preaching at Southern Seminary.  These two are some of the sweetest, most kind-hearted people you would ever meet and their love for the Lord just radiates out of them.  I was (and still am) so honored that they chose me to photograph their wedding and I could not think of a more perfect couple to share our anniversary with!  Since Matthew was able to attend the wedding while I was shooting, it was quite amazing to witness their union, only to think back to that same day eleven years ago where we made the same promises to one another.  I just had to stop shooting and take it all in.  The Lord is so kind!  The ceremony was also filled with hymns and prayer, so in short, a worship service.  It was a wonderful day with not only Mike & Anna, but their wonderful wedding party, and we even got to visit with many Louisville friends, which is always an added bonus. 🙂

Mike & Anna – The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.  Congratulations! And thank you for allowing me to be a witness to your union!!

Anna made the sleeves to her dress.  Didn’t she do an exquisite job??

Oh yeah, she also made her veil.  (This is where you throw your hands up and say, “Yeah, of course she did!”)

Her mom made the bridesmaids’ skirts…some talented ladies in this family!

It started to rain a little, but no matter, they’ll just stand there and smile!! 🙂
