I was happy as a clam to shoot this wedding. I’ve had the privilege of watching Jordan grow up, and even was a guest at her own parents’ wedding, long before she was even born! 🙂 So to watch her get married to her high school sweet heart, and to have a front row seat to the whole day, well, that was just kind of the sweetest thing ever. I mean, yes, I can hardly believe either of them are old enough to get married (I didn’t know you could get married at 10. Wait, they’re not 10? Well, that’s the age Jordan is still in my head!), but I believed it once I saw her walk down that aisle. But the joy, oh the joy, that these two had all day…I mean, you can just read it in their dimples!! You couldn’t help but be joyful right alongside of them. And while yes, they are still pretty young (by society’s standards, that is), they have a maturity and love for one another that goes well beyond their age.
A couple of my favorite moments from the day were when her dad came in to see her (yes, I had tears rolling down my cheeks for that one. Just keep shooting, Leah, just keep shooting!), and Jordan & Derek’s first look, where he had to suffer through a limo ride with Jordan in a blindfold, only being feet from her and having to WAIT to see her!! Such torture!! But oh so cute. That was a first for me.
I am just so elated for these two love birds and can’t wait to see them grow in their love for one another and the Lord!! Thank you, Jordan and Derek, for letting me play such a special part in your day!
Oh, Mike, you’re killing me….
This is the very church Matthew and I were married in. It’s always special to witness a wedding here.
