JESS + KRISTEN | Married!

This was an incredibly sweet day.  I feel so honored that Jess & Kristen asked me to photograph their small wedding, a wedding unlike most others.  Jess and Kristen both have children from previous marriages, so this wasn’t just a big day for the two of them, but also for the 6 kids between them.  It was such a precious union of two families and the joy and redemption I witnessed on this day was breathtaking.  Most of the time, I love watching how couples interact and you can see how much they love each other throughout the day.  Jess & Kristen definitely had that, but what was also present was the relationship between all the kids and the excitement for this new chapter in their lives.  When you see two teenage brothers welcoming with open arms a new younger brother, it is enough to bring you to tears.  Seeing all of them come together and excited for their parents’ marriage was a great blessing.

The wedding took place at New City Presbyterian Church with just their immediate family, with a dinner reception following (which I did not attend).  It was a sweet, simple affair, but not lacking in love and joy.

I am so excited for this new family and this next chapter in their lives!! Congrats, Jess & Kristen!!
