These two certainly know how to handle a rainy day. When we did their engagement session, we had to wait out a massive rain storm. Now, for their wedding day, we had to work around a massive rain storm. But I just love how they rallied and didn’t let it get to them. They still had a beautiful wedding day. They still celebrated with friends and family. They are still husband and wife. What a beautiful reminder that rain or shine, weddings are not about having the perfect conditions, but about being with one another and loving one another and starting your new life together. I just loved all the details of their day – the beautiful lace gown, the heart cut-out inside her dress from her dad’s dress, the patriotic socks – so much to make this day unique to the two of them.
Thank you, Rachel & Matt, for allowing me to have a small part in your story. And thank you, Katie Laughlin, for rocking out this day with me!
The bride’s friends and family performed a special toast in honor of her father (in front of his truck), who passed away a few years ago.
